Instruments used to measure color

There are basically three different instruments used to measure color: densitometers, colorimeters and spectrophotometers. These devices have different applications and provide different information. Today's color-measuring instruments are lighter, more automated, easier to use and can be found in the following categories: 1. Handheld or manual which requires operator intervention to position the sample and trigger individual measurements. 2.
