Utah Senators Support House On Wilderness

Salt lake city-The Utah Senate has joined the state's House of Representatives in passing a resolution demanding that the U.S. Congress halt efforts to designate more wilderness lands in the state. Americans for American Energy (AAE) reports that in late February, the Utah Senate voted 22-3 in favor of HJR 10, which urges Congress not to enact legislation designating additional wilderness in the state without the unanimous support of Utah's congressional delegation. The Utah House of Representatives approved HJR 10 earlier in the month (The Reporter, March 2008, pg. 20).
