LNG Export's Future Bright, API Says

Exporting liquefied natural gas represents one of the most promising economic opportunities for the shale revolution, and the American Petroleum Institute says the best is yet to come. Kyle Isakower, API vice president for regulatory and economic policy, says as of 2012, unconventional oil and gas development supported 2.1 million jobs, with projected employment of 3.9 million by 2025. Tapping those vast energy resources using hydraulic fracturing and horizontal drilling will allow the United States to increase LNG exports, which will significantly reduce the national trade deficit, increase government revenues, grow the economy and support millions of jobs in engineering, manufacturing, construction and facility operations, Isakower forecasts.
