Local authorities in Laramie County, Wy., have opted against local oil and gas regulations, reports the Petroleum Association of Wyoming. Commissioners had considered an oil and gas regulatory proposal from the Cheyenne Area Landowners Coalition, PAW confirms, but after a June 16 hearing, in which PAW representatives spoke against the rule, the commissioners unanimously opted against the rulemaking. "We are very pleased with this result," PAW President Bruce Hinchey states. "This matter came about very quickly, and there was a tremendous amount of work put into achieving this result by a lot of people. Working together achieved the right result."
