Reply: Coal Mine Dust Lung Disease That Persists below the Surface of Surveillance: Down Under

From the Authors: We were pleased to read the letter by Yates and colleagues from the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand (TSANZ). We strongly support their position on the need to mitigate respirable mineral dust exposure in coal mines and other dusty trades to eliminate pneumoconiosis and other associated diseases, including emphysema, chronic bronchitis, and lung function impairment.
