A degree course in motor-sport engineering has been criticised for failing to meet national quality standards because it has not worked closely enough with industry, despite being situated in the middle of the highest concentration of motorsport companies in the country. Reviewers from the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) had "no confidence in the academic standards of students" and "no confidence in the quality of learning" offered by the foundation degree course, which has been running for two years at Warwickshire College and is accredited by Coventry University.
