摘要

The shipbuilding sector has a history with as many ups and downs as a ship lost at sea. One moment there is a seemingly endless stream of orders for warships for the Cold War, the next moment it's glasnost and no one wants your boats any more. Such is the cyclical nature of the market - battening down the hatches, hoisting the mainsail and bracing yourself may be the only option. Do this and you may survive to reach the next port on the horizon, or the next big defence contract. But what if you emerge from the storm to find half your crew missing?
