Maxcor kicks off reorganisation with plan to close CrossHueller plant

A shakeout at Maxcor, the acquisitive machine tool company, has begun with a plan to close the CrossHuller plant in Knowsley, Mersey-side, affecting 120 jobs. Maxcor recently completed the purchase of Ex-Cell-O from the German engineering group IWKA, and will integrate its new purchase with Cincinnati Lamb and the former ThyssenKrupp Metal Cutting (TKMC) group.
