The launch of HMS Daring from BAE Systems' Scotstoun shipyardon the Clyde required 680 tonnes of drag chains to control the warship and stop it moving too close to the south bank of the river. The 150m long Type 45 Destroyer weighs in at 7,350 tonnes and is said to be the world's most advanced air defence ship.
