Poudre Valley Wins Presidential Award For Innovation, Excellence

Fort Collins, Colorado-based Poudre Valley Health System on November 25 was named a 2008 recipient of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, the nation's highest presidential honor for organizational innovation and performance excellence. The nonprofit health system, which serves residents of northern Colorado, Nebraska, and Wyoming, was the only health care organization to receive the award for 2008. Pharmacy director Katherine Edelblut of 281-bed Poudre Valley Hospital credited the health system's "strong employee culture" for this latest in a string of awards received in recent years.
