ABC helps Brooks Brothers go green

America's Best Cleaners (ABC), a marketing consortium of high-end cleaners, recently hosted an all-day "green" cleaning symposium for representatives of venerable clothier Brooks Brothers. Technical experts from ABC and Kreussler Chemical presented workshops focusing on three sustainable methods of garment care: wetcleaning, liquid CO_2 and Solvair. Experts discussed each method and offered live demonstrations for Brooks Brothers' technical design team. The processes are "cutting-edge methods [for] cleaning garments in a way that's both ecologically friendly and better for garments," says Christopher White, ABC's technical director. "Brooks Brothers has always been a very conscientious clothier and is very interested in adopting 'green' methods of caring for their garments. We've been working closely with them on how to accomplish these goals."
