A wetcleaning round-table held in Chicago last month helped launch a new organization dedicated to the process, this issue says, the Professional Wetcleaning Network (PWN). The roundtable was the second sponsored by the Center for Neighborhood Technology (CNT), and many new developments have occurred in the field of wetcleaning since 1995, according to consultants Ann Hargrove and Marcia Miller Todd. Representatives from manufacturers such as Adco, Boewe Permac,Kreussler, Laidlaw, Milnor and Pariser appeared to discuss their products. PWN urged its members to submit comments to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) recommending a new wetcleaning instruction for care labels.
