To say that the drycleaning industry has seen a challenging 2020 and, thus far, 2021 is a massive understatement. And now, even as business is picking back up as society returns to something approaching normal, cleaners and distributors face new complications. Where supplies were readily available when demand plummeted in 2020, the opposite is proving true now, with many products becoming difficult to find as demand picks back up. The supply chain is strained, and both cleaners and suppliers are trying to stretch what they have to meet their needs. This issue marks the next installment of our Distributors Directory, giving dry cleaners an index to companies that provide the equipment, parts, supplies, services and other necessities they need to serve their own customers. While this is a regular feature of American Drycleaner, the past few months have been anything but routine.
