摘要

In recent years, much attention has been focused on the production of clean diesel and gasoline fuels from renewable fats.1,2) So far canola, coconut, cottonseed, palm, rapeseed, soybean, sunflower etc. have been used as a raw vegetable oil. Jatropha oil, which includes poisonous components and cannot be haven as a food, can also be used. Transesterification1) is generally used to produce FAME, however glycerol is also produced as a by-product. In order to solve the problem, hydrotreatment of a fat such as a vegetable oil has been investigated to produce green diesel.3-15) The green diesel has an advantage in that a compound similar to petroleum-derived diesel is obtained.14) Further, the acid function to the hydrogenation catalyst is added because isomerization can increase the branched products which improve the poor low-temperature stability of green diesel.15)
