摘要

Photocatalytic reduction of CO2 with H2O by photocatalystsnsuch as TiO2 is a promising approach to recycle CO2 back tonrenewable fuels 1. However, for this artificial photosynthesis bynTiO2, beside the well-known challenges of low energy efficiency andnpoor product selectivity 2, some other technical obstacles exist butnare seldom addressed in the literature, such as (1) weakened CO2nadsorption in the presence of H2O vapor when reaction operated in ansolid-gas interface, (2) limited desorption of reaction products ornintermediates from the catalyst surface, and (3) poor stability of thenphotocatalytic performance typically observed in a continuous-flownmode 3, 4.
