In order to enhance the quality of the oil and reduce the airrnpollution, fuel desulfurization is very important. Adsorptiverndesulfurization is one of the promising methods for desulfurization.rnThe present study reports on the preparation of cobalt nanoparticlernloaded on the surface of porous carbon. The prepared nanomaterialrnwas characterized, and evaluated for adsorptive desulfurization ofrnthiophene, benzothiophene (BT) and dibenzothiophene (DBT) fromrnmodel fuels. The order of the sulfur compounds in terms ofrndesulfurization was DBT > BT > thiophene under the samernexperimental conditions.
