Novel Rheometer for Refractory Castables

摘要

A newly developed rheometer bridges the gap between advances in castable technology and rheological characterization techniques. A growing demand for refractory castables with specific behavior properties (e.g., self-flowing, pumpable, shotcreting, etc.) has stimulated studies on the development of compositions with predictable and controlled rheological properties. As a consequence, there has been a significant evolution in castable technology based on the understanding and control of the rheo-logical behavior of this class of materials.
