In 1999 Norman Love had just wrapped up a year that included leading the U.S. pastry team to a bronze medal in the Coupe du Monde de la Patisserie and more than a decade as the executive pastry chef for The Ritz-Carlton resorts, a role which meant he helped train every new pastry hire for the company.
