"I feel so privileged to be a part of the Cirque des Gateaux collaboration, and even more thrilled to be representing Amaluna; the latest show that's currently touring the UK," said Vicki. The production title translates to "mother moon" and that nature imagery provided the inspiration for Vicki's blue and green watercolor creation. "The 'gelatin' water swirls around the cake, as though the cake were an island in the vast ocean. My cake has a gravity defying appearance, which represents the circus in the show. The bottom tier, when lit up, gives the impression of floating. The other tiers appear as though they are balancing on rings," she said. "The inspiration for this is the unicyclists, who wear a skirt made from gold rings. The peacock feathers dance around the cake, representing the purity of love. The top swirling gold wires are an interpretation of the stage design, and when the cake is lit up, using tonic water and Rolkem neon dusts, it represents the show as a whole; as a stage production with color, light and movement."
