1. To form the head, begin with 15 grams of modeling paste in a flesh-tone shade. Make a ball and indent in the middle to form the eye sockets. Next indent vertically to form the outline of the nose. Gently shape the nose with a Dresden tool and create an indentation for the mouth as shown. 2. Using a sharp knife, cut a line for the mouth and push up the upper portion to make the top lip. Shape using the Dresden tool. Repeat for the lower to make the bottom lip. 3. Add a small ball of paste to form the bottom lip and blend the seams using the Dresden tool as shown. 4. Using the Dresden tool, mark the corners of the mouth and create a little smile by manipulating the corners upward. 5. With a sharp tool (but without cutting the paste), mark the eyes as shown. 6. Create the eye shape by gently pressing into the paste using the outline created in the previous step as a guide.
