Love buttercream but not confident with your piping skills? Fear not. This brilliant tutorial is deliciously rustic, beginner-friendly, and the perfect opportunity to practice your piping. If you want to watch as you pipe, check out Becky's YouTube tutorial. 1. Start by applying the tan buttercream to the top of your cake. 2. Smooth the sides against your cake so that the tan buttercream does not extend over the sides of your cake. 3. Take a larger-size cake board with wax paper attached to it and place it with the wax paper side directly on top of your cake. 4. Place 1 hand flat on the top of the cake board and your other hand flat on the bottom of the cake board. While applying pressure to both boards, flip the cake so that the bottom is now up and the larger board is now on the bottom. 5. Frost your sides with the white buttercream, scraping with a bench scraper at a 90-degree angle.
