ETJ 2000 clads add to success of Aluminerie Alouette

On the north shore of the St. Lawrence River lies the deep-water port of Sept-lies, Quebec, Canada. Aluminerie Alouette has been producing primary aluminium there since 1992. With the cooperation of the Canadian government, Quebec, and of local authorities, workers and the community this smelter has proven to be highly efficient. Alcan, who holds 40% of the project, together with other owners has decided to more than double the output from 245 000 tpy to 550 000 per year. Aluminerie Alouette will become the largest aluminium smelter in the Americas.
