Svein Richard Brandtzaeg stays on as Hydro CEO

Svein Richard Brandtzaeg will stay on as president and chief executive of Norwegian aluminium company Norsk Hydro. He notified Hydro's board of directors in July that he would resign to become president and CEO of Norwegian fertilizers company Yara International. He has now decided to withdraw his resignation - as Yara is in merger talks with rival CF Industries - and stay on as CEO of Hydro. His decision has been accepted and welcomed by the board.
