The accurate control and regulation of a production process, whether in the field of metal recovery, semis production or casting, entails precise and reliable measurement of all the process-relevant influencing parameters. Since this is an essential prerequisite for the quality assurance which is constantly becoming more and more the focus of attention, great advances have recently been achieved precisely in the sector of measurement technology. New methods and instruments are now making it possible for industry to determine measured values with a precision hitherto mainly characteristic of the research sector, and this at tolerable cost.%Die genaue Steuerung und Kontrolle eines Produktionsprozesses - sei es bei der Metallgewinnung, der Halbzeugherstellung oder dem Gießen - erfordert eine genaue und sichere Erfassung aller prozessrelevanten Einßussgrößen. Da dies eine unabdingbare Voraussetzung für die Qualitätssicherung ist, sind in der letzten Zeit gerade im Bereich der Messtechnik große Fortschritte erzielt worden. Neue Verfahren und Geräte gestatten nun auch der Industrie die Erfassung von Messwerten mit einer bis dahin vor allem dem Forschungsbereich eigenen Präzision - zu vertretbaren Kosten.
