Reminder: The CPR Arbitration Committee has answered the professions concerns about problems with arbitration processes and procedures by releasing products that address and improve the practice. The products help return arbitration to its promise of efficient resolutions without court litigation. Much of the work on these recent projects was spearheaded by former chairman Lawrence W. Newman, of counsel in the New York office of Baker & McKenzie. Ank Santens, partner in the New York office of White & Case, is current chairwoman of the committee, which recently has been addressing the CPR Institute's soon-to-be-released administered arbitration rules (watch www. cpradr.org for details).
