摘要

One of the highest-profile bankruptcy cases in recent years has become an equally high-profile corporate conflict resolution matter. Negotiations in the bankruptcy of Caesars Entertainment Corp.'s operating company— reportedly seeking to restructure $18 billion in debt—had been guided by a prominent mediator. But when the neutral, retired Delaware U.S. District Court Judge Joseph Farnan Jr., resigned in late summer, it threw an unusual public display of commercial mediation into the mix of headlines about the bankruptcy case. The resignation cited the bankruptcy court's substantial reliance on Farnarfs mediation status report.
