Qantas and Emirates in New World Partnership

For the past 65 years Qantas Airways has plied the Kangaroo Route to London via Asia, most recently in cooperation with British Airways/International Airlines Group. Signaling that traditional thinking no longer applies, the Australian flag carrier is adapting its long-haul model to emulate the tremendously successful Middle East hub strategy, turning its back on BA to forge a partnership and service agreement with Emirates Airline, using Dubai [Dubayy] as the new Qantas gateway to Europe.
