MORGAN SINDALL WINS BA & LHR CONTRACT

Uk construction, infrastructure and design company Morgan Sindall has secured contracts worth ￡10 million (US$16m) from Heathrow Airport Ltd and British Airways. The company will undertake a contract with British Airways to modernise two aircraft hangars at the airport in preparation for the arrival of the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner this summer and B777-300ER aircraft. This will allow greater flexibility of working space during maintenance and repair work on the British Airways fleet. Work will include taking away 100 tonnes of steel (95% of which will be recycled), replacement of nose docks and major refurbishment of existing tail docks.
