How do we facilitate better co-ordination and co-operation among airport partners for the large benefit of all? This is arguably the last frontier or new challenge for all airports around the world. Whatever we call it, Airport Collaborative Decision Making - A-CDM for short - is already a reality following its successful implementation at key European airports. But what about the rest of the world, you may well ask? Over the years, EUROCONTROL has taken Airport CDM from concept to reality and has developed and operationally validated a number of A-CDM elements, such as information sharing, variable taxi time calculations, milestones approach, collaborative management of flight updates, and pre-departure sequence in adverse weather conditions.
