TSA said it will use its Secure Flight system, in addition to the agency's risk-based approach to aviation security and continuing efforts to increase the number of travelers receiving expedited screening, to identify travelers who may be eligible for expedited screening at airports where TSA PreCheck lanes are located. The process will use information already collected and provided to TSA by the airlines. Starting later this fall, travelers may receive random TSA PreCheck expedited screening on a flight-by-flight basis and without requiring travelers to enroll in a DHS Trusted Traveler program.
