Countermeasure Test Flights

Elbit systems has announced that its Commercial Multi-Spectral Infrared Countermeasure (C-MUSIC) system has performed a series of successful flight trials onboard a test Boeing 707. The system is designated to protect large jet aircraft against the threat of shoulder-launched missiles (MANPADS) and has so far proven to be effective. Elbit Systems' Electro-Optic coun-termeasures are a family of Directed IR Countermeasures (DIRCM) solutions for protecting aircraft against heat-seeking ground-to-air missiles. They use advanced laser technology together with a thermal camera and a small mirror turret to provide effective, reliable and affordable protection to all types of aircraft, under all operational conditions.
