The first five years of the 21st Century have proved to be a traumatic time for the United States' air transport industry with a number of major airlines facing financial difficulty, and some operating under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Delta Air Lines and Comair, its Delta Connection 'subsidiary', have also been under financial pressure. Between them, they now account for 94.5% of passenger movements at Cincinnati/ North Kentucky International Airport (CVG). When Delta and Comair 'sneeze', CVG catches a cold.
