ARINC has been awarded a multi-million pound, four-year deal to install common-use self service (CUSS) kiosks at London's Heathrow Airport. Underthe terms of the contract, ARINC and its subcontractor IBM will temporarily upgrade 150 older models in Terminals 1,3 and 4 with new software for improved opera-rntion. This phase will be followed by a complete replacement of all older units to begin in September with a total of 202 new IBM kiosks being installed by the first quarter 2011. This will represent the largest deployment of CUSS kiosks at Heathrow which will support more than 18 airlines at the airport.
