Budapest-based Wizz Air has rostered several of its Airbus narrowbodies on far-flung deployments to China in response to the global coronavirus outbreak. On March 23, the carrier made its unofficial debut in the country when it carried 12.1 tons (11 tonnes) of medical supplies, including protective gear - up to 3,270,000 face masks - along with COVID-19 test kits from Shanghai/Pudong to Budapest following a request from the Hungarian government.
