Singapore to establish fighter training detachment in Guam

THE SINGAPORE Ministry of Defence has announced an agreement to set up a fighter training detachment at Andersen Air Force Base (AAFB) in Guam in the western Pacific Ocean. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed during a meeting between Singapore's Minister for Defence Dr Ng Eng Hen and US Secretary of Defense Mark Esper on December 7. Under the plan, the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) will deploy F-15SG and F-16 fighters and supporting assets such as the Gulfstream 550 airborne early warning aircraft to AAFB for training.
