'Triple Nickel' F-16s deploy to Al Udeid

AS PART of US plans to boost its current air power assets in the Middle East, an unspecified number of USAF F-16Cs have been deployed to Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. The aircraft are from the 31st Fighter Wing's 555th Fighter Squadron 'Triple Nickel' at Aviano Air Base, Italy. The unit's F-16s departed from Aviano for Al Udeid on October 28 to participate in ongoing combat operations in support of US Central Command's 379th Air Expeditionary Wing.
