HAWKER HUNTER Mk58 ZZ190 of Hawker Hunter Aviation (HHA) carried out a practice diversion at Royal Naval Air Station Culdrose, Cornwall on March 26. Based at RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire, HHA received 12 ex-Swiss Air Force Hunter Mk58s - equipped with radar warning receivers, chaff and flare dispensers - which are also capable of carrying Air Combat Manoeuvring Instrumentation (ACMI) and electronic warfare pods. According to HHA, the Cold War-era jets have very low flying hours, the fleet leader having reached approximately half its projected life - around 3,000 hours. The principal three Hunter Mk58s currently in use with HHA are ZZ190, ZZ191 and ZZ194.
