It is also used in aviation finance to refer to agreements to create a separate entity where parties co-invest with contributions that include cash, assets, other know-how, or a combination of these, according to an article by David Yu, adjunct professor of finance at New York University Shanghai, published in the October/November 2017 issue of Airfinance Journal.
