What in-house MRO facilities does AFI KLM E&M have, in terms of hangar size, number of staff and capabilities? Air France Industries-KLM (AFI KLM E&M), the maintenance division of Air France KLM, is among the world's largest by employee numbers with around 14,000 people working for us. AFI KLM E&M has 77 aircraft hangar bays in total, situated in France, the Netherlands and across the world. This is also supported by three engine test cells, with the most recent one added at Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport in 2012. We also have an extensive line maintenance network in every major station and a comprehensive logistics network with centres in all major regions. Another focus has been the expansion of the MRO's subsidiaries and JVs in the US and in China (Shanghai), strengthening existing operations in places like Paris, Amsterdam, Norwich, Toulouse, Miami, Mumbai, Dubai and Casablanca. We also have a strong position on current generation aircraft - all Boeing and Airbus fleets, as well as Embraer and ATR - and also have a focus on next generation aircraft, due to being the only MRO part of an airline group that ordered the A350, A380 and 787.
