The gas turbine aftermarket has undergone significant change and is set to see more profound changes in the future. Such developments are of great importance to this industry, where reliance on the aftermarket is an essential part of the business case. Professor Riti Singh of Cranfield University considers some of the ideas underpinning advanced gas path diagnostics and the role of this technology in the changing business environment.
