With commerclal air travel tipped by IATA to increase by close to five per cent a year for at least the next decade, airports are under increasing pressure to adapt and add more capacity. With a greater volume of traffic comes added risk, and airport authorities will need to develop new processes and solutions to manage and protect travellers and staff. Access control is a fundamental part of any airport's security plan. Due to the sophisticated organisational structure of a modern airport, a security system needs to provide strict access control settings that limit entry to key zones and restricted areas, making sure that only authorised personnel have entry rights.
