Opengear enters aviation arena

Brisbane-based opengear has signed its first aviation industry contract, a deal to supply Raytheon with console servers to support that company's AutoTrac HI Air Traffic Technology. In the first instance, the console servers will be implemented as part of a new air traffic management system for Dubai Airport.rnAutoTrac III is a low-cost, low-risk solution for the complete spectrum of ATM domain automation.rnRaytheon will use Opengear's CM4116 and CM 4148 units for remote administration of development environments, for jumpstarting lab servers and to provide console access to all of its servers from a central location.
