From 13 december 2006, an aircraft travelling into Australia must give passengers (including crew) a notice explaining a person's reporting obligations under the new laws; and if a commercial carrier knowingly moves into or out of Australia more than $10,000 in physical currency, or is made aware at any time that it is moving or has moved such currency (eg as part of transporting goods), then the carrier must report that movement.
