After more than a decade flying to Australia China Southern Airlines is ramping up efforts to increase market share on the route by increasing flight frequency, adding ports and dovetailing connections from Australia through its Guangzhou hub to London. After securing rights to land at London's Heathrow Airport three times a week (daily from October) the carrier launched its 'Canton route' in Australia on June 5, dovetailing Sydney flights with London. China Southern also flies to Amsterdam and Paris and will fly to Frankfurt by 2014.
