On July 19,1969, the day before the first lunar landing, Disneyland's relatively tame "Flight to the Moon" attraction was enough to thrill this 14-year-old. I could easily imagine myself on a future voyage that would match the excitement of Apollo 11. I never made it to the moon, but I did fly as a shuttle astronaut. Now I wanted to see how well simulation engineering can mimic real spaceflight.
