Last fall, the Dornier Aerospace Museum held a "topping out" ceremony for its brand-new hangar, next to Friedrichshafen airport, which will open to visitors on July 24. "The Dornier Museum is not only an emotional experience for technology lovers," says Cornelius Dornier, son of company founder Claude. "We want to inspire all history buffs, inquisitive people, families with children, young people with big ideas, and cause them to think." The hangar, called the Museum Box, presents the history of Dornier woven into the history of air and space travel.
