Last november, the National Transportation Safety Board issued its final report on the March 2011 crash of Kyle and Amanda Franklin's Waco at a Brownsville, Texas airshow after the engine quit and the airplane caught fire. "Examination of the engine and its fuel system revealed no anomalies that would have precluded normal operations," the agency said ("Cause Unknown," Sept. 2010).
