NSPS and Emission Guidelines Revised for Large Municipal Waste Combustors

On May 10, 2006 (71 FR 27324-27348), EPA revised the 40 CFR Part 60, Sub-part Eb new source performance standards (NSPS) and Subpart Cb emission guidelines for large municipal waste combustors (MWCs). In revising the NSPS and emission guidelines, the agency issued more stringent emission limits reflecting technological and operational improvements achieved by owners/operators of MWCs since the previous emission standards were issued. The May 10, 2006 final rule also revises operating practices, performance testing, and monitoring provisions.
