Upgraded An-124 Ruslans Redelivered to Russian Air Force

The news agency RIA Novosty reported on May 17 that the Russian Air Force has returned three upgraded Antonov An-124-100 Ruslan heavy transports to service. In addition, four more aircraft are already with Aviastar-SP at Ulyanovsk for overhaul and an extensive upgrade of their avionics and systems. These activities are being conducted under the terms of a contract Aviastar-SP signed with the Russian Government covering the upgrade and life extension of as many as six An-124s by 2015.
