Ukrainian engine manufacturer Motor Sich recently reported that it is working on the first batch of five upgraded Mil Mi-8MSB helicopters for an as yet undisclosed foreign customer. Upgrade work is being undertaken at the Aviacon aviation repair plant in Konotop. Handover of the first batch of Mi-8MSBs is scheduled for late June and the overall order for upgraded and re-engined helicopters is now 18 units.
